Jake Colvin has been elected as the University Football Club’s new President, with the incumbent Dwayne Lake deciding to stand down after two years in the role.
Colvin’s appointment was confirmed at the club’s Annual General Meeting at the AJ Williams Pavilion at McGillivray Oval on Monday night.
Colvin steps up from his role as Vice President, which will now be occupied by Alex Novatscou who was previously Registrar.
The new President wished to thank Lake for his outstanding service in the role and also said he was humbled by the position.
“I feel privileged to take on the role of president for the upcoming season and beyond,” Colvin said.
“It’s very humbling that I get the chance to keep giving back to the club that’s been an important part of my life over the last several years.
“2021 will be a really exciting year for UWA. There are a number of projects in the works that will showcase the strength and growth of the club and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
The club once again thanks Dwayne for his excellent service across the past two seasons and looks forward to the next chapter under Jake.
